We have a small family of hounds at Jamar and usually have one litter a year. All our puppies are home raised in a family environment so are well socialized. We have had some exciting breedings over the years with one of the most memorable taking place in Denmark. Phoebe (Ch Jamars Kindred Spirit) flew from Chicago to Copenhagen, spent 2 weeks with Chouan and was mated to Danish Ch Chouan Officer and Gentleman before I flew out to pick her up and she and I took the Danish Seaways ferry back to England for her to have her pups in quarantine! This was some 10 years ago but one of our special breeding moments. It introduced Chouan into our line and produced English Ch Jamars Saffi of Monkhams, Jamars Olivia and Jamars Gregos of Ilsham, sire to my Isobel. Breeding less often now as so many of our dear hounds are 'oldies' we still have the same philosophy in that we breed for health, type, temperament and that unbeatable PBGV personality.
